Australia Day 2010

Last Tuesday January the 26th it was Australia Day.
Australia Day is usually a day where you get together with friends, "put another shrimp on the barbie" and have a good time. This year being Ollie's first Australia Day it was really special, one because Ollie is so far the only Australian in our family unit and two because we were invited to attend Phil and Pip's Citizenship Ceremony in Springwood. Around 50 people from different nationalities chose Springwood as their venue to become Australians and after the ceremony with Australia Day ambassador Robyn Moore (voice of Blinky Bill) as a guest speaker, Phil and Pip are now proud Australians. Oliver was well behaved and didn't mind the brass band or sitting through the ceremony at all. After the ceremony we went to the Springwood Club to have our Australian bbq meal. Mostly because of a suspected fireban in the area. It was 38+C!!!

He is just over 4 months old now and has just discovered how to blow raspberries and its one of his favorite things to do, after eating his fingers.
