ARIA


Last night Caroline took me out to ARIA as an early birthday (10/09/08) present.
ARIA is one of Sydney's best restaurants. With Matt Moran in the kitchen it has been awarded 2 chefs hats by the Sydney Morning Herald Good Food Guide in 2001, 2002, 2003, 2004,2005, 2006, 2007, 2008 and 2009! And luckily for Caroline it was also awarded with this year's best wine list. Which she took full advantage of by sampling the wines for each course that went with our 7-course Spring degustation menu.

We had a hard time picking favorites and in the end we liked them all.
We had the petit fours twice, the second time they were served they came with a candle and neatly written in chocolate Happy Birthday. A very nice finish to a perfect meal.

And as part of my birthday Caroline also treated me to Matt Moran the latest book from and autographed by Matt Moran himself.
