The Who & The Counting Crows
On Tuesday we went to see The Who.
One of the best live bands in the world and amazingly rocking since 1964. We'd seen 'em before play in Hyde Park Calling '06 and when friends of ours asked if we wanted to come and see them Live in the Acer Arena we could not say no.
The supporting act was The Counting Crows.
One band I hoped but didn't expect to see live.
Lucky Pea can't say we never take him anywhere that is 3 concerts, now.

On Saturday we went to see Coldplay play at the Acer Arena.
They put on a great show and were really involved with the audience playing on several mini podiums in the Arena.
The Pea's second concert, when he grows up he can't say we didn't take him anywhere.

A big asteroid meets Planet Earth
Thanks to the Discovery Channel (Miracle Planet) and Pink Floyd - Great Gig in the Sky.
19367 Pink Floyd is an asteroid that has been named in honor of the English musical group Pink Floyd. It was discovered on December 3rd 1997. There is little information on the physical properties of 19367 Pink Floyd. Its diameter remains uncertain; range of 3 to 6 km is probable.19367 Pink Floyd's maximum brightness is estimated to be 1/14958 of the brightness of the faintest objects that can be seen with the human eye.The asteroid's name is unusual in that it is expressed as two words, instead of "Pinkfloyd" which is the format used by most other minor planets named for individuals or groups (although the asteroid named for the Rolling Stones is also expressed as two words).

Sweet Caroline
Although this will always remember me only of MY sweet Caroline.
Here is what Neil Diamond had to say about the song's origins.
LOS ANGELES (AP) -- Neil Diamond held onto the secret for decades, but he has finally revealed that President Kennedy's daughter was the inspiration for his smash hit "Sweet Caroline."
"I've never discussed it with anybody before - intentionally," the 66-year-old singer-songwriter told The Associated Press on Monday during a break from recording. "I thought maybe I would tell it to Caroline when I met her someday."
He got his chance last week when he performed the song via satellite at Caroline Kennedy's 50th birthday party.
Diamond was a "young, broke songwriter" when a photo of the president's daughter in a news magazine caught his eye.
"It was a picture of a little girl dressed to the nines in her riding gear, next to her pony," Diamond recalled. "It was such an innocent, wonderful picture, I immediately felt there was a song in there."

Bouncy balls
What would you do if you had thousands of bouncy balls? Approximately 250.000 you to would go to San Fransisco, I reckon.
The soundtrack is by Jose Gonzalez
